English ivy pull on Chalet Creek this weekend

A tree trunk slowly suffocated by English ivy vines.

Greetings Streamsters!

We will be having a volunteer work party to pull English ivy and remove other invasive species from alongside Chalet Creek this weekend.  It will be at the Muse Winery, 11195 Chalet Road in North Saanich.  It will be held from 10am-1pm on Saturday March 17th – which also happens to be St. Patrick’s Day…join us for an invigorating morning before you head home to enjoy your green beer.

Click here for a map of the location.  Parking is available on Chalet Road at the Creek crossing.

Please dress appropriately in warm layers with waterproof and durable footwear, and if you have a favourite pair of work gloves or tools (loppers or secateurs always come in handy), bring those as well.  A bottle of water is also a good idea; we will provide some juice and snacks.

If you would like to help out, please drop me an email.  This is for two reasons:  so that we know how many people to expect, and so that we can contact you if we have to cancel (no one wants to be out there if another windstorm hits, or if it snows again!)

We’d love to see you, new and current volunteers alike!
