Colquitz River “Plant-o-Ween” Riparian Planting
Join us for a spooktacular Halloween-themed planting event along the Colquitz River! Following the major instream restoration completed in August, volunteers will help bring the newly restored site to life by planting native trees, shrubs, and other riparian vegetation. Come dressed for the weather—or in costume!—and help us get some plants in the ground to help protect salmon!
When: Saturday, October 31st (9:30 am-12:30 pm).
Where: Colquitz River Trail at the Hwy 1 Overpass. Parking available at Tillicum Centre.
What to bring: Water, sturdy footwear or rubber boots, and layers for sun/wind/rain you don’t mind getting wet or dirty. All tools and gloves provided. Washrooms at Tillicum Centre. Snacks provided!
