Millstream Creek Fish Ladder Cleanup (Day 1)

Join us as we prepare the Millstream Creek fish ladders for returning spawning salmon! We’ll be shovelling accumulated gravel out of fish ladder boxes, cutting up and removing jammed logs, and placing sandbags to direct flow into the fish ladders to facilitate fish passage. This work is physically demanding and includes shovelling, lifting, and wheelbarrowing. This work also requires navigating very uneven terrain and requires secure footing.

Where: Millstream Creek accessed on Wilfert Rd off Wale Rd. Street parking on Wilfert Rd.

What to bring: Water, sturdy footwear, and layers for sun/wind/rain you don’t mind getting dirty. All tools and gloves provided. Bring waders if you have them, otherwise waders will be provided. Please note there are no washrooms on site.
