Rain Garden Weeding Event

Join us and the Friends of Bowker Creek Society for a work party to remove invasive weeds (including Canada thistle) from the school rain garden in anticipation for mulching later in the season! This work will involve bending/crouching and tugging up plants by hand.

Where: Monterey Middle School (851 Monterey Ave). Parking available in the school parking lot (summer holidays), on Monterey Ave, or on Oliver St. Meet at the rain garden on the south lawn.

What to bring: Water, sturdy footwear, and layers for sun/wind/rain you don’t mind getting dirty. All tools and gloves provided. Please note there are no washrooms on site.
